Highlights

  • LP Toh's tamarind-leaf Naga Buddha of B.E. 2521, issued by his own temple and blessed in his lifetime, three years before he passed away.
  • Struck in copper with the Na Yant on the back; Thai records give 98,000 in copper for the Na-back, besides 40 gold, 300 silver and 4,000 Nawa.
  • This is the ear-line block, named for the fine line beside the Buddha's ear, which Thai dealers list as the favoured block.
  • Thai sellers credit it with good fortune and Metta; SMK card issued 25 August B.E. 2569, kept in its original temple old silver case.
